Regarding the role
Every facet of managing the kitchen falls within the purview of this position. As the chef manager, it will be your duty to supervise the standard compliance procedures, such as food safety, OHS, and quality. Ten shifts each fortnight are worked in this full-time employment.How will you have an impact?
- Supervision of the kitchen's compliance with all regulations including food safety, WHS, and quality
- Directing and inspiring the kitchen staff
- Ordering and stock management
- Managing the nutrition of residents
- Control of food costs in the kitchen
About You
- Personnel management expertise
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is required (or other relevant qualification)
- Aged Care experience would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of managing a budget
- Time management and social abilities
- Understanding and commitment to work health and safety laws and regulations
- Reading, numeracy, and communication abilities that are well-developed
- A friendly demeanor and adaptable approach to working hours
- Familiarity with meals that have had their textures altered and knowledge of the nutritional needs of seniors
- Willingness to collaborate with a larger culinary staff to enhance the catering at our facilities on a regular basis
