Describe the Role:

A trained Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is needed to join our team at Defence Maintenance & Support Services in a permanent, full-time position. This position will work with a variety of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, armored tanks, trucks, tracked vehicles, and infantry people carriers. It is based in state-of-the-art facilities with the newest equipment.

This position is located in our Moore Bank, New South Wales, defense facility and provides a dynamic team atmosphere, work-life balance, and accommodating hours, including an early Friday knock-off.

Your Obligations Include:

Perform all trade-related duties involved in the upkeep and repair of machinery, vehicles, and other equipment.
When necessary, operate equipment and help with non-mechanical maintenance and construction activities.
Providing maintenance, overhaul, and repair services for mechanical components such as suspension, transmission, and engine systems.
Perform maintenance duties, such as technical classifications and inspections.
Diesel, gasoline, and gas-powered vehicles can be diagnosed, overhauled, repaired, tuned, maintained, and tested.

Experience, training, and knowledge:

Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with Cert III (AUR31116) or similar trade qualification OR Plant Mechanic with Cert III trade qualification (AUR31216).

knowledgeable about a variety of automobiles
